|Calculated MW||56922 Da|
|Antigen Region||256-284 aa|
|Other Names||Retinoic acid receptor RXR-beta, Nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group B member 2, Retinoid X receptor beta, RXRB, NR2B2|
|Target/Specificity||This RXRB antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 256-284 amino acids from the Central region of human RXRB.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||RXRB Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Receptor for retinoic acid. Retinoic acid receptors bind as heterodimers to their target response elements in response to their ligands, all-trans or 9-cis retinoic acid, and regulate gene expression in various biological processes. The RAR/RXR heterodimers bind to the retinoic acid response elements (RARE).|
|Tissue Location||Expressed in a variety of tumor cell lines.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
This gene encodes a member of the retinoid X receptor (RXR) family of nuclear receptors which are involved in mediating the effects of retinoic acid (RA). This receptor forms homodimers with the retinoic acid, thyroid hormone, and vitamin D receptors, increasing both DNA binding and transcriptional function on their respective response elements. The gene lies within the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II region on chromosome 6.
