|Application ||WB, IHC-P, FC, E|
|Calculated MW||68935 Da|
|Antigen Region||403-432 aa|
|Other Names||Kinesin light chain 2, KLC 2, KLC2|
|Target/Specificity||This KLC2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 403-432 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human KLC2.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||KLC2 Antibody (C-Term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Kinesin is a microtubule-associated force-producing protein that may play a role in organelle transport. The light chain may function in coupling of cargo to the heavy chain or in the modulation of its ATPase activity (By similarity).|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
Kinesin is a molecular motor that generates ATP-dependent movement of vesicles and organelles along microtubules. Kinesin consists of 2 light chains, such as KLC2, and 2 heavy chains (see KIF5B; MIM 602809) in a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio.
