Background
Cofilin is a widely distributed intracellularactin-modulating protein that binds and depolymerizes filamentousF-actin and inhibits the polymerization of monomeric G-actin in apH-dependent manner. It is involved in the translocation ofactin-cofilin complex from cytoplasm to nucleus.
