Background
This gene encodes a protein belonging to the GTP-bindingsuperfamily and to the immuno-associated nucleotide (IAN) subfamilyof nucleotide-binding proteins. In humans, IAN subfamily genes arelocated in a cluster at 7q36.1. Two transcript variants, oneprotein-coding and the other probably non-protein-coding, have beenfound for this gene.
