This gene encodes a G-protein coupled receptor whichinteracts with the C-terminal tail of cannabinoid receptor 1. Thisreceptor plays a role in synaptic plasticity, analgesia, appetite, and neuroprotection. Two transcript variants encoding differentisoforms have been described for this gene.
