|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP14001c was selected from the Center region of PDCD4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|

Down-regulates the expression of MAP4K1, thus inhibiting events important in driving invasion, namely, MAPK85 activation and consequent JUN-dependent transcription. May play a role in apoptosis. Tumor suppressor. Inhibits tumor promoter-induced neoplastic transformation. Binds RNA (By similarity).|

This gene encodes a protein localized to the nucleus inproliferating cells. Expression of this gene is modulated bycytokines in natural killer and T cells. The gene product isthought to play a role in apoptosis but the specific role has notyet been determined. Two transcripts encoding different isoformshave been identified.
