Background

This gene encodes a mitochondrial flavoprotein thatinitiates electron transport for cytochromes P450 receivingelectrons from NADPH. Multiple alternatively spliced transcriptvariants of this gene have been described although the full-lengthnature of only two that encode different isoforms have beendetermined.
