The complex acts as a regulator of phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PtdIns(4)P) synthesis (Probable). In the complex, plays a central role in bridging PI4KA to EFR3B and HYCC1, via direct interactions (By similarity). |

Background
The tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domain is defined by adegenerate consensus sequence of 34 amino acids. TPRdomain-containing proteins, such as TTC7A, have diverse functionsin cell cycle control, protein transport, phosphate turnover, andprotein trafficking or secretion, and they can act as chaperones orscaffolding proteins (White et al., 2005 [PubMed15718100]).
