|Other Names||Histone chaperone ASF1A, Anti-silencing function protein 1 homolog A, hAsf1, hAsf1a, CCG1-interacting factor A, CIA, hCIA, ASF1A|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Histone chaperone that facilitates histone deposition and histone exchange and removal during nucleosome assembly and disassembly. Cooperates with chromatin assembly factor 1 (CAF-1) to promote replication-dependent chromatin assembly and with HIRA to promote replication-independent chromatin assembly. Required for the formation of senescence-associated heterochromatin foci (SAHF) and efficient senescence-associated cell cycle exit.|
|Tissue Location||Ubiquitously expressed.|

This gene encodes a member of the H3/H4 family of histonechaperone proteins and is similar to the anti-silencing function-1gene in yeast. The protein is a key component of a histone donorcomplex that functions in nucleosome assembly. It interacts withhistones H3 and H4, and functions together with a chromatinassembly factor during DNA replication and repair. [provided byRefSeq].
