Background
Modification of proteins with ubiquitin (UBB; MIM 191339)or ubiquitin-like proteins controls many signaling networks andrequires a ubiquitin activating enzyme (E1), a ubiquitinconjugating enzyme (E2), and a ubiquitin protein ligase (E3).
