|Other Names||Negative elongation factor C/D, NELF-C/D, TH1-like protein, NELFCD, NELFD, TH1, TH1L|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||NELFD, TH1, TH1L|
|Function||Essential component of the NELF complex, a complex that negatively regulates the elongation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. The NELF complex, which acts via an association with the DSIF complex and causes transcriptional pausing, is counteracted by the P-TEFb kinase complex.|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed. Expressed in heart, brain, lung, placenta, liver, skeletal and cardiac muscle, adrenal, thyroid, kidney and pancreas.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
The NELF complex of proteins interacts with the DSIFprotein complex to repress transcriptional elongation by RNApolymerase II. The protein encoded by this gene is an essentialpart of the NELF complex. Alternative translation initiation siteusage results in the formation of two isoforms with differentN-termini.
