|Other Names||RING finger and CHY zinc finger domain-containing protein 1, 632-, Androgen receptor N-terminal-interacting protein, CH-rich-interacting match with PLAG1, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase Pirh2, RING finger protein 199, Zinc finger protein 363, p53-induced RING-H2 protein, hPirh2, RCHY1, ARNIP, CHIMP, PIRH2, RNF199, ZNF363|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2796a was selected from the N-term region of human RCHY1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||ARNIP, CHIMP, PIRH2, RNF199, ZNF363|
|Function||Mediates E3-dependent ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target proteins, including p53/TP53, P73, HDAC1 and CDKN1B. Preferentially acts on tetrameric p53/TP53. Monoubiquitinates the translesion DNA polymerase POLH. Contributes to the regulation of the cell cycle progression. Increases AR transcription factor activity.|
|Cellular Location||Nucleus. Nucleus speckle. Cytoplasm.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
RCHY1 protein has ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. This protein binds with p53 and promotes the ubiquitin-mediated proteosomal degradation of p53. Gene of RCHY1 is oncogenic because loss of p53 function contributes directly to malignant tumor development.
