|Other Names||Aminoacyl tRNA synthase complex-interacting multifunctional protein 2, Multisynthase complex auxiliary component p38, Protein JTV-1, AIMP2, JTV1|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2861c was selected from the Center region of human JTV1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Required for assembly and stability of the aminoacyl- tRNA synthase complex. Mediates ubiquitination and degradation of FUBP1, a transcriptional activator of MYC, leading to MYC down- regulation which is required for aveolar type II cell differentiation. Blocks MDM2-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of p53/TP53. Functions as a proapoptotic factor.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm, cytosol. Nucleus. Note=Following DNA damage, dissociates from the aminoacyl-tRNA synthase complex and translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
JTV1 is probable core protein of the multisynthetase complex that serves as a template for the assembly of the supramolecular structure. This protein Mediates ubiquitination of FUBP1 and its degradation by the proteasome.
