|Other Names||Proteasome subunit alpha type-2, Macropain subunit C3, Multicatalytic endopeptidase complex subunit C3, Proteasome component C3, PSMA2, HC3, PSC3|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2913b was selected from the C-term region of human PSMA2. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||The proteasome is a multicatalytic proteinase complex which is characterized by its ability to cleave peptides with Arg, Phe, Tyr, Leu, and Glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic pH. The proteasome has an ATP-dependent proteolytic activity. PSMA2 may have a potential regulatory effect on another component(s) of the proteasome complex through tyrosine phosphorylation.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Cytoplasm, P-body. Note=Colocalizes with TRIM5 in the cytoplasmic bodies.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
PSMA2 is a member of the peptidase T1A family, that is a 20S core alpha subunit. PSMA2 may have a potential regulatory effect on another component(s) of the proteasome complex through tyrosine phosphorylation.
