|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Involved in transcriptional regulation, through association with histone acetyltransferase (HAT) SAGA-type complexes like the TFTC-HAT, ATAC or STAGA complexes. Specifically recognizes and binds methylated 'Lys-4' of histone H3 (H3K4me), with a preference for trimethylated form (H3K4me3). In the SAGA- type complexes, required to recruit complexes to H3K4me. May be involved in MYC-mediated oncogenic transformation.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
CCDC101 is a subunit of 2 histone acetyltransferase complexes: the ADA2A (TADA2A; MIM 602276)-containing (ATAC) complex and the SPT3 (SUPT3H; MIM 602947)-TAF9 (MIM 600822)-GCN5 (KAT2A; MIM 602301)/PCAF (KAT2B; MIM 602303) acetylase (STAGA) complex. Both of these complexes contain either GCN5 or PCAF, which are paralogous acetyltransferases.
