Target/Specificity | The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6546a was selected from the N-term region of human CPZ. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay. |

Background
CPZ is a member of the metallocarboxypeptidase family. This enzyme displays carboxypeptidase activity towards substrates with basic C-terminal residues. It is most active at neutral pH and is inhibited by active site-directed inhibitors of metallocarboxypeptidases.
