Clone Names 81201099
Peptide ID 81201099
Additional Information
Gene ID 4916
Other Names NT-3 growth factor receptor, GP145-TrkC, Trk-C, Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 3, TrkC tyrosine kinase, NTRK3, TRKC
Target/Specificity The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6818b was selected from the C-term region of human NTRK3. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Format Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
StorageMaintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.
PrecautionsThis product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Protein Information
Name NTRK3
Synonyms TRKC
Function Receptor for neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). This is a tyrosine- protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the trk receptors are SHC1, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. The different isoforms do not have identical signaling properties.
Cellular Location Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein
Tissue Location Widely expressed but mainly in nervous tissue. Isoform 2 is expressed at higher levels in adult brain than in fetal brain

NTRK3 is a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase (NTRK) family. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. Signalling through this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in the development of proprioceptive neurons that sense body position.
