Target/Specificity The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7272b was selected from the Nptx1 region of human NP1(Nptx1). A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Background

NPTX1 is a member of the neuronal pentraxin gene family. Human neuronal pentraxin 1 is similar to the rat NP1 gene which encodes a binding protein for the snake venom toxin taipoxin.
