Target/Specificity The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7309c was selected from the Center region of human CAPN3. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Background

CAPN3, a heterodimer consisting of a large and a small subunit, is a major intracellular protease, although its function has not been well established. The protein is a muscle-specific member of the calpain large subunit family that specifically binds to titin.
