|Other Names||Arylsulfatase A, ASA, Cerebroside-sulfatase, Arylsulfatase A component B, Arylsulfatase A component C, ARSA|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7471b was selected from the C-term region of human ARSA. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
ARSA hydrolyzes cerebroside sulfate to cerebroside and sulfate. Defects in this protein lead to metachromatic leucodystrophy (MLD), a progressive demyelination disease which results in a variety of neurological symptoms and ultimately death.
