|Other Names||Inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase K, Skeletal muscle and kidney-enriched inositol phosphatase, INPP5K, PPS, SKIP|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8767c was selected from the Center region of human INPP5K. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Inositol 5-phosphatase which acts on inositol 1,4,5- trisphosphate, inositol 1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate, phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate and phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate. Has 6-fold higher affinity for phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate than for inositol 1,4,5- trisphosphate. May negatively regulate assembly of the actin cytoskeleton.|
|Cellular Location||Endoplasmic reticulum. Note=Following stimulation with EGF, translocates to membrane ruffles|
|Tissue Location||Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in skeletal muscle, heart and kidney.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
INPP5K is a protein with 5-phosphatase activity toward polyphosphate inositol. The protein localizes to the cytosol in regions lacking actin stress fibers. It is thought that this protein may negatively regulate the actin cytoskeleton.
