|Calculated MW||134326 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Jagged 1. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Protein jagged-1, Jagged1, CD339, Jag1|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Jagged 1 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Ligand for multiple Notch receptors and involved in the mediation of Notch signaling. May be involved in cell-fate decisions during hematopoiesis. Enhances fibroblast growth factor- induced angiogenesis (in vitro). Seems to be involved in early and late stages of mammalian cardiovascular development. Inhibits myoblast differentiation. May regulate fibroblast growth factor- induced angiogenesis.|
|Cellular Location||Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed in a variety of tissues.|
