|Calculated MW||82119 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Calpain 1. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Calpain-1 catalytic subunit, 188.8.131.52, Calcium-activated neutral proteinase 1, CANP 1, Calpain mu-type, Calpain-1 large subunit, Micromolar-calpain, muCANP, Capn1, Cls1|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Calpain 1I Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyze limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Cell membrane. Note=Translocates to the plasma membrane upon Ca(2+) binding.|
