|Calculated MW||116403 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of active Ras GAP. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C|
|Other Names||Ras GTPase-activating protein 1, GAP, GTPase-activating protein, RasGAP, Ras p21 protein activator, p120GAP, RASA1, GAP, RASA|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.2 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 0.1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||RasGAP Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Inhibitory regulator of the Ras-cyclic AMP pathway. Stimulates the GTPase of normal but not oncogenic Ras p21; this stimulation may be further increased in the presence of NCK1.|
|Tissue Location||In placental villi, detected only in the trophoblast layer (cytotrophoblast and syncytiotrophoblast). Not detected in stromal, endothelial or Hofbauer cells (at protein level).|
