|Calculated MW||284525 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of JMJ1DC. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Probable JmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 2C, 1.14.11.-, Jumonji domain-containing protein 1C, Thyroid receptor-interacting protein 8, TR-interacting protein 8, TRIP-8, JMJD1C, JHDM2C, KIAA1380, TRIP8|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||JMJ1DC Blocking peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||JHDM2C, KIAA1380, TRIP8|
|Function||Probable histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. Demethylation of Lys residue generates formaldehyde and succinate. May be involved in hormone-dependent transcriptional activation, by participating in recruitment to androgen-receptor target genes (By similarity).|
