|Calculated MW||40418 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Wnt-2. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Protein Wnt-2, Int-1-like protein 1, Int-1-related protein, IRP, WNT2, INT1L1, IRP|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 1% BSA, 50% glycerol, and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Wnt-2 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. Probable developmental protein. May be a signaling molecule which affects the development of discrete regions of tissues. Is likely to signal over only few cell diameters.|
|Cellular Location||Secreted, extracellular space, extracellular matrix|
|Tissue Location||Expressed in brain in the thalamus, in fetal and adult lung and in placenta.|
