|Calculated MW||111297 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of HDAC-9. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Histone deacetylase 9, HD9, 18.104.22.168, Histone deacetylase 7B, HD7, HD7b, Histone deacetylase-related protein, MEF2-interacting transcription repressor MITR, HDAC9, HDAC7, HDAC7B, HDRP, KIAA0744, MITR|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.2 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 0.1% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||HDAC-9 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||HDAC7, HDAC7B, HDRP, KIAA0744, MITR|
|Function||Responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). Histone deacetylation gives a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Represses MEF2-dependent transcription.|
|Tissue Location||Broadly expressed, with highest levels in brain, heart, muscle and testis. Isoform 3 is present in human bladder carcinoma cells (at protein level)|
