|Calculated MW||79686 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of HSD17B4/MPF-2. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Peroxisomal multifunctional enzyme type 2, MFE-2, 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 4, 17-beta-HSD 4, D-bifunctional protein, DBP, Multifunctional protein 2, MPF-2, (3R)-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase, 1.1.1.n12, Enoyl-CoA hydratase 2, 22.214.171.124, 126.96.36.199, 3-alpha, 7-alpha, 12-alpha-trihydroxy-5-beta-cholest-24-enoyl-CoA hydratase, HSD17B4, EDH17B4|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||HSD17B4/MPF-2 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Bifunctional enzyme acting on the peroxisomal beta- oxidation pathway for fatty acids. Catalyzes the formation of 3- ketoacyl-CoA intermediates from both straight-chain and 2-methyl- branched-chain fatty acids.|
|Tissue Location||Present in many tissues with highest concentrations in liver, heart, prostate and testis|
