|Calculated MW||28057 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Adipsin. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Complement factor D, 184.108.40.206, 28 kDa adipocyte protein, Adipsin, C3 convertase activator, Properdin factor D, Cfd, Adn, Df|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Adipsin Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Factor D cleaves factor B when the latter is complexed with factor C3b, activating the C3bbb complex, which then becomes the C3 convertase of the alternate pathway. Its function is homologous to that of C1s in the classical pathway.|
