Calculated MW | This protein is fused with 6×His tag at the C-terminus, has a calculated MW of 14.5 kDa. The predicted N-terminus is Gln 19. DTT-reduced Protein migrates as 35-43 kDa due to glycosylation. |
Gene ID | 961 |
---|---|
Gene Symbol | CD47 |
Other Names | CD47, MER6, IAP, OA3 |
Gene Source | Human |
Source | HEK293 cells |
Assay&Purity | SDS-PAGE; ≥95% |
Assay2&Purity2 | N/A; |
Recombinant | Yes |
Results | Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human CD172a / SIRP alpha Fc Chimera is coated at 1 µg/mL, rhCD47 binds with apparent Kd < 1 nM. |
Target/Specificity | CD47 |
Application Notes | Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile PBS, pH 7.4 to a concentration of 50 µg/ml. Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 month. For extended storage, it is recommended to store at -20°C. |
Format | Lyophilized |
Storage | -20°C; Lyophilized from 0.22 µm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4. Generally 5-8% Mannitol or trehalose is added as a protectant before lyophilization. |

Background
Leukocyte surface antigen CD47 also known as antigenic surface determinant protein OA3, Integrin-associated protein (IAP) and Protein MER6. CD47 contains 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. CD47 is very broadly distributed on normal adult tissues. CD47 has a role in both cell adhesion by acting as an adhesion receptor for THBS1 on platelets, and in the modulation of integrins and plays an important role in memory formation and synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus by similarity. CD47 is the receptor for SIRPA, binding to which prevents maturation of immature dendritic cells and inhibits cytokine production by mature dendritic cells. CD47 Interaction with SIRPG mediates cell-cell adhesion, enhances super antigen-dependent T-cell-mediated proliferation and co-stimulates T-cell activation.
