Target/Specificity | Goat anti-Human CD195 antibodyrecognizeshuman CD195, also known as C-C chemokine receptor type 5, CCR5 or C-C CKR-5. CD195 is a 353 amino acid ~37 kDa multiple pass transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, preferentially expressed by a subset of memory Th1 (type 1 helper T) cells. Goat anti-human CD195 antibody binds to an epitope within the N-terminal (NT) region of CD195.CD195 acts as a high-affinity receptor for several chemotactic chemokines, including MIP-1 alpha (macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha), MIP-1 beta, and RANTES (regulated on activation normal T expressed and secreted protein). CD195 is also a major co-receptor for HIV-1 infection, with variations in the CD195 gene, influencing the rate of progression into AIDS (Choeet al.1996).Goat anti-human CD195 antibody is suitable for use in immunocytochemistry on human peripheral blood leucocytes. |
