UGT2B17 belongs to the family of UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs; EC 188.8.131.52), enzymes that catalyze the transfer of glucuronic acid from uridine diphosphoglucuronic acid to a variety of substrates, including steroid hormones.
