The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thetripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes threezinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1, a B-box type 2, and acoiled-coil region. The protein localizes to both the nucleus andthe cytoplasm, and may represent a participant in the initiation ofglycogen synthesis.
