|Calculated MW||6030 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of active Noxa. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37°C|
|Other Names||Phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate-induced protein 1, PMA-induced protein 1, Immediate-early-response protein APR, Protein Noxa, PMAIP1, NOXA|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.2 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 0.1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Noxa Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Promotes activation of caspases and apoptosis. Promotes mitochondrial membrane changes and efflux of apoptogenic proteins from the mitochondria. Contributes to p53/TP53-dependent apoptosis after radiation exposure. Promotes proteasomal degradation of MCL1. Competes with BAK1 for binding to MCL1 and can displace BAK1 from its binding site on MCL1 (By similarity). Competes with BIM/BCL2L11 for binding to MCL1 and can displace BIM/BCL2L11 from its binding site on MCL1.|
|Tissue Location||Highly expressed in adult T-cell leukemia cell line|
