|Alias Symbol||Green Fluorescent Protein|
|Other Names||Green fluorescent protein, GFP|
|Format||Liquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||Add 100ul of distilled water. Final anti-GFP antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer. For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||GFP Antibody is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Energy-transfer acceptor. Its role is to transduce the blue chemiluminescence of the protein aequorin into green fluorescent light by energy transfer. Fluoresces in vivo upon receiving energy from the Ca(2+)-activated photoprotein aequorin.|
