|Reactivity||Human, Mouse, Rat, Rabbit|
|Predicted||Human, Mouse, Rat|
|Alias Symbol||RBP, RNBP|
|Other Names||N-acylglucosamine 2-epimerase, AGE, 18.104.22.168, GlcNAc 2-epimerase, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine 2-epimerase, Renin-binding protein, RnBP, RENBP|
|Format||Liquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer with 0.09% (w/v) sodium azide and 2% sucrose.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||Add 50 ul of distilled water. Final anti-RENBP antibody concentration is 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. For longer periods of storage, store at 20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||RENBP antibody - N-terminal region is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Catalyzes the interconversion of N-acetylglucosamine to N-acetylmannosamine. Binds to renin forming a protein complex called high molecular weight (HMW) renin and inhibits renin activity. Involved in the N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) degradation pathway: although human is not able to catalyze formation of Neu5Gc due to the inactive CMAHP enzyme, Neu5Gc is present in food and must be degraded.|
