Target/Specificity This EIF3CL antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 127-155 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human EIF3CL.
Dilution WB~~1:1000
IHC-P~~1:10~50
FC~~1:10~50
Format Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
StorageMaintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
PrecautionsEIF3CL Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Protein Information
Name EIF3C {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03002}
Function Component of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF-3) complex, which is required for several steps in the initiation of protein synthesis. The eIF-3 complex associates with the 40S ribosome and facilitates the recruitment of eIF-1, eIF-1A, eIF-2:GTP:methionyl-tRNAi and eIF-5 to form the 43S preinitiation complex (43S PIC). The eIF-3 complex stimulates mRNA recruitment to the 43S PIC and scanning of the mRNA for AUG recognition. The eIF-3 complex is also required for disassembly and recycling of post-termination ribosomal complexes and subsequently prevents premature joining of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits prior to initiation.
Cellular Location Cytoplasm {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03002}.
