|Application ||WB, IHC-P, E|
|Calculated MW||95533 Da|
|Antigen Region||22-51 aa|
|Other Names||Protein Jade-1, Jade family PHD finger protein 1, PHD finger protein 17, JADE1, KIAA1807, PHF17|
|Target/Specificity||This PHF17 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 22-51 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PHF17.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||PHF17 Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Component of the HBO1 complex which has a histone H4- specific acetyltransferase activity, a reduced activity toward histone H3 and is responsible for the bulk of histone H4 acetylation in vivo. Transcriptional coactivator, it may also promote acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 by KAT5. Promotes apoptosis. May act as a renal tumor suppressor. Negatively regulates canonical Wnt signaling; at least in part, cooperates with NPHP4 in this function.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Nucleus Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cilium basal body. Note=Localizes to the ciliary transition zone.|
|Tissue Location||Highly expressed in kidney. Also present in pancreas, liver and heart (at protein level). Down-regulated in renal cancer cells.|
