SOX9 Antibody (Center) - Additional info

Gene ID 6662
Other Names
SOX9; Transcription factor SOX-9
Target/Specificity
This SOX9 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 238~268 amino acids from the Center region of human SOX9.
Dilution
WB~~1:100~500
FC~~1:10~50
Format
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS. Then the antibody is purified by peptide affinity purification.
Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Precautions
SOX9 Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

BACKGROUND

SOX9 recognizes the sequence CCTTGAG along with other members of the HMG-box class DNA-binding proteins. It acts during chondrocyte differentiation and, with steroidogenic factor 1, regulates transcription of the anti-Muellerian hormone (AMH) gene. Deficiencies lead to the skeletal malformation syndrome campomelic dysplasia, frequently with sex reversal.
