|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||45016 Da|
|Antigen Region||23-49 aa|
|Other Names||Pleckstrin homology-like domain family A member 1, Apoptosis-associated nuclear protein, Proline- and glutamine-rich protein, PQ-rich protein, PQR protein, Proline- and histidine-rich protein, T-cell death-associated gene 51 protein, PHLDA1, PHRIP, TDAG51|
|Target/Specificity||This PHLDA1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 23-49 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PHLDA1.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||PHLDA1 Antibody (N-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Seems to be involved in regulation of apoptosis. May be involved in detachment-mediated programmed cell death. May mediate apoptosis during neuronal development. May be involved in regulation of anti-apoptotic effects of IGF1. May be involved in translational regulation.|
|Cellular Location||Cytoplasm. Cytoplasmic vesicle. Nucleus, nucleolus. Note=Colocalizes with intracellular vesicles.|
|Tissue Location||Widely expressed with highest levels in pancreas. Strongly expressed by benign melanocytic nevi, and progressively reduced expressed in primary and metastatic melanomas (at protein level).|

This gene encodes an evolutionarily conserved proline-histidine rich nuclear protein. The encoded protein may play an important role in the anti-apoptotic effects of insulin-like growth factor-1.
