|Application ||WB, E|
|Calculated MW||98664 Da|
|Other Names||Zinc finger protein DZIP1, DAZ-interacting protein 1/2, DZIP1, DZIP, DZIP2, KIAA0996|
|Target/Specificity||This DZIP1 antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 747-781 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human DZIP1.|
|Format||Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.|
|Precautions||DZIP1 Antibody (C-term) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Synonyms||DZIP, DZIP2, KIAA0996|
|Function||May participate in spermatogenesis via its interaction with DAZ (PubMed:15081113). Has a role in primary cilium formation (PubMed:19852954).|
|Cellular Location||Nucleus. Cytoplasm. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cilium basal body. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome, centriole. Note=In testis, it is predominantly nuclear, with some cytoplasmic localization in spermatogonia Colocalizes with DAZ and DAZL in primordial germ cells|
|Tissue Location||Predominantly expressed in testis. Also expressed in fetal brain, adult oocytes and ovary. Expressed in undifferentiated ES cells. In testis, it is probably specifically expressed in germ cells. Expressed in mature germ cells and secondary spermatocytes, while it is weakly or not expressed in primary spermatocytes.|
