|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP1078d was selected from the N-term region of human GCN5. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|

Has significant histone acetyltransferase activity with core histones, but not with nucleosome core particles. Also acetylates non- histone proteins, such as CEBPB (PubMed:17301242). Component of the ATAC complex, a complex with histone acetyltransferase activity on histones H3 and H4. In case of HIV-1 infection, it is recruited by the viral protein Tat. Regulates Tat's transactivating activity and may help inducing chromatin remodeling of proviral genes.|
