Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
Targeting of numerous transmembrane proteins to the cellsurface is thought to depend on their recognition by cargoreceptors that interact with the adaptor machinery for anterogradetraffic at the distal end of the Golgi complex. Consortin (CNST) isan integral membrane protein that acts as a binding partner ofconnexins, the building blocks of gap junctions, and acts as atrans-Golgi network (TGN) receptor involved in connexin targetingto the plasma membrane and recycling from the cell surface (delCastillo et al., 2010 [PubMed 19864490]).
