Other Names | Solute carrier family 25 member 46, SLC25A46, TB1 |
Target/Specificity | The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13502a was selected from the N-term region of SLC25A46. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay. |
Format | Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed. |
Storage | Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C. |
Precautions | This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. |
Name | SLC25A46 (HGNC:25198) |
---|---|
Synonyms | TB1 |
Function | Transmembrane protein of the mitochondrial outer membrane that controls mitochondrial organization (PubMed:26168012, PubMed:27543974, PubMed:27390132). May regulate the assembly of the MICOS (mitochondrial contact site and cristae organizing system) complex which is essential to the biogenesis and dynamics of mitochondrial cristae, the inwards folds of the inner mitochondrial membrane (PubMed:27390132). Through its interaction with the EMC (endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein complex), could regulate mitochondrial lipid homeostasis and thereby mitochondrial fission (PubMed:27390132). |
Cellular Location | Mitochondrion outer membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein |
