|Other Names||C-C motif chemokine 25, Chemokine TECK, Small-inducible cytokine A25, Thymus-expressed chemokine, CCL25, SCYA25, TECK|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Potentially involved in T-cell development. Recombinant protein shows chemotactic activity on thymocytes, macrophages, THP-1 cells, and dendritics cells but is inactive on peripheral blood lymphocytes and neutrophils. Binds to CCR9. Isoform 2 is an antagonist of isoform 1. Binds to atypical chemokine receptor ACKR4 and mediates the recruitment of beta-arrestin (ARRB1/2) to ACKR4.|
|Tissue Location||Specifically expressed by thymic dendritic cells. High levels in thymus and small intestine|

This gene belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CCgenes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved inimmunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines areproteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokineencoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for dendriticcells, thymocytes, and activated macrophages but is inactive onperipheral blood lymphocytes and neutrophils. The product of thisgene binds to chemokine receptor CCR9.
