|Other Names||10 kDa heat shock protein, mitochondrial, Hsp10, 10 kDa chaperonin, Chaperonin 10, CPN10, Early-pregnancy factor, EPF, HSPE1|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2870a was selected from the N-term region of human HSPE1. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Eukaryotic CPN10 homolog which is essential for mitochondrial protein biogenesis, together with CPN60. Binds to CPN60 in the presence of Mg-ATP and suppresses the ATPase activity of the latter.|
|Cellular Location||Mitochondrion matrix.|

Provided below are standard protocols that you may find useful for product applications.
HSPE1 is a major heat shock protein which functions as a chaperonin. Its structure consists of a heptameric ring which binds to another heat shock protein in order to form a symmetric, functional heterodimer which enhances protein folding in an ATP-dependent manner.
