|Other Names||Tetratricopeptide repeat protein 19, mitochondrial, TPR repeat protein 19, TTC19|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6744b was selected from the C-term region of human TTC19. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Mitochondrial protein required for formation of the mitochondrial complex III (PubMed:21278747). May also be required for the abcission step in cytokinesis, possibly regulating the ESCRT-III complex via its interaction with CHMP4B (PubMed:20208530). However, the involvement in cytokinesis requires additional experimental evidence.|
|Cellular Location||Mitochondrion inner membrane. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome. Midbody Note=According to some authors, localizes to the centrosome during all stages of the cell cycle and is recruited to the midbody during cytokinesis (PubMed:20208530). However, the midbody localization could not be confirmed by others (PubMed:21278747)|
