|Other Names||Nuclear pore complex protein Nup98-Nup96, Nuclear pore complex protein Nup98, 98 kDa nucleoporin, Nucleoporin Nup98, Nup98, Nuclear pore complex protein Nup96, 96 kDa nucleoporin, Nucleoporin Nup96, Nup96, NUP98, ADAR2|
|Target/Specificity||The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6817b was selected from the C-term region of human NUP98. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.|
|Format||Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.|
|Storage||Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C.|
|Precautions||This product is for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Plays a role in the nuclear pore complex (NPC) assembly and/or maintenance. Nup98 and Nup96 are involved in the bidirectional transport across the NPC. May anchor NUP153 and TPR to the NPC.|
|Cellular Location||Nucleus. Nucleus membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Nucleoplasmic side. Nucleus, nuclear pore complex. Note=Nup96 is localized to the nucleoplasmic side of the nuclear pore complex (NPC), at or near the nucleoplasmic basket Dissociates from the dissasembled NPC structure early during prophase of mitosis. Colocalized with NUP153 and TPR to the nuclear basket of NPC. Detected in diffuse and discrete intranuclear foci. Remained localized to the nuclear membrane after poliovirus (PV) infection|
