|Calculated MW||37822 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of Cathepsin B. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Cathepsin B, 126.96.36.199, APP secretase, APPS, Cathepsin B1, Cathepsin B light chain, Cathepsin B heavy chain, CTSB, CPSB|
|Target/Specificity||Cathepsin B (for 3190-100)|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.2 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.01% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||Cathepsin B Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Thiol protease which is believed to participate in intracellular degradation and turnover of proteins. Has also been implicated in tumor invasion and metastasis.|
