|Calculated MW||26498 Da|
|Application & Usage||The peptide is used for blocking the antibody activity of PUMA. It usually blocks the antibody activity completely in Western blot analysis by incubating the peptide with equal volume of antibody for 30-60 minutes at 37°C.|
|Other Names||Bcl-2-binding component 3, JFY-1, p53 up-regulated modulator of apoptosis, BBC3, PUMA|
|Formulation||50 µg (0.5 mg/ml) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA and 0.02% thimerosal.|
|Reconstitution & Storage||-20 °C|
|Precautions||PUMA/bbc3 Blocking Peptide is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.|
|Function||Essential mediator of p53/TP53-dependent and p53/TP53- independent apoptosis. Isoform 3 fails to show any growth- inhibitory or apoptotic activity.|
|Cellular Location||Mitochondrion. Note=Localized to the mitochondria in order to induce cytochrome c release. Isoform 3 is not found in mitochondria|
